"About Pale Moon" window must not be resizable #1858

Good afternoon:

I've built the master branch of Palemoon and I saw some style issue in "About Pale Moon" window.

You can resize the window and the style breaks. I think that the window must not be resizable or change the style of the window to adapt the elements to size changes. I've attached an image of the issue as additional information.

Regards.

Yup, same for Basilisk. Firefox 84.0.2 on Arch also has this. These windows on Windows are non resizeable.

There is a thing about XUL Windows on Linux as most window managers don't respect, have, or obey calls to have fixed size windows that aren't defined as dialogs which must be blocking and attached to a parent window.

So I am gonna WONTFIX this because established even if not-intuitive historic behavior.

From the browser side there's little we can do to fix window managers/theme engines not respecting these XUL window properties unless we actually make it a dialog, and that would restrict what we can do with and in it (and as a result isn't an acceptable option to work around this).

If it's resizable then that's a bug in the WM/theming engine of the OS.
I agree with WONTFIX

It isn't a bug perse in WM but just a result of different behavior between them.

I guess whether it's a bug or not can be argued. I personally think it's a bug if the window peoperties indicate it shouldn't be resizeable and those aren't honored -- but I guess one can argue it's simply lacking the features to deal with XUL windows properly?
