#1466 Implement -geometry switch for Linux

This should be a Linux-only CLI switch adhering to the apparent standard format for geometry that “many” graphical applications support.
Backburner priority. If you want this functionality, then make a pull request. Please make sure proper sanitation of the passed value(s) is done.

The PR is a total abomination and the feature is ridiculous. I recommend RESOLVED WONTFIX because of it.

The person has had 10 months to come up with an elegant solution and has since vanished off the face of the earth. Since he failed to follow through with anything and no longer seems to exist at this point, I am closing this.
